Delete Your Account
Effective Date: July 28, 2026
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This page covers Arena, our mobile app. If you only ever bought a flashcard audit on this website, you never created an Arena account, and you can request deletion of your audit data through our Contact Page instead.
1. Delete your account from inside the app
This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Arena
- Open the navigation menu and go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account. If you never signed in, the same row reads Delete data, because there is no account to remove, only the progress stored on your device and with us
- Type the word delete to confirm. We ask you to type it rather than tap a button because this cannot be undone
If you signed in with Apple, you will be asked to sign in once more first. That is how we revoke Arena's access to your Apple ID as part of the deletion, rather than leaving it attached to an account that no longer exists.
2. If you no longer have the app
You do not need to reinstall Arena to delete your account. Contact us through our Contact Page and tell us the display name you used and, if you signed in, which provider you used (Google or Apple). We will locate the account and delete it.
We may ask you to confirm something only the account holder would know before we delete anything. That is a safeguard for you: without it, anyone who knew your display name could delete your account.
3. What gets deleted
Deletion runs as a single operation. Either all of it succeeds or none of it does, so you are never left half-deleted.
- Your account and your sign-in link to Google or Apple
- Your display name
- Every rating, level, streak, and skill standing you have built
- Your full history of challenges attempted and answered
- Your membership record and member number, if you were a member
- Your guild memberships. If you were the master of a guild, leadership passes to another member rather than leaving the guild stranded
4. What does not get deleted, and why
- Anonymized usage analytics. We keep records of how the app performs in aggregate: response times, crashes, which features are used. Once your account is gone, nothing in those records identifies you, because the account they referred to no longer exists. They expire automatically within 12 to 24 months depending on the record.
- Your subscription itself. Deleting your Arena account does not cancel an active membership, because we do not control the billing. Apple and Google do. Cancel it in your app store account settings, and see our Refund Policy for how that works. Do this before deleting your account, or you will keep being billed for an account that is gone.
- Records we are required to keep. Where the law requires us to retain something, for example transaction records for tax purposes, we retain only that.
5. This is permanent
There is no recovery period and no undo. Your member number is not held for you: if you delete your account and later sign up again, you start over as a new member with a new number. Your ratings and history cannot be restored, by you or by us.
If you want to stop using Arena but keep your progress, sign out instead. Signing out is not destructive, and everything is still there when you sign back in.
